Today marks one year since we got engaged! Here's a recap just for fun...

Brandon wanted to get some dinner and eat it at a park. So, I started suggesting all the different parks around us, but he rejected all of them. "I want to go up the Canyon" he said. Since Brandon is naturally indecisive, this request for a specific place tipped me off that he may be up to something!
Brandon's mom supposedly got Goodwood BBQ for the family (when she really picked it up just for the two of us) and we headed to South Fork Park up Provo Canyon. It was gorgeous and slightly chilly when we got up there. We walked around to "find" a table to sit at, and we arrived to a secluded table set up with a table cloth, flowers, a set up for dinner, and a little box sitting on my plate.
We sat down and we ate dinner before I was able to open the mysterious box. I was jittery the whole time we were eating and it finally came time to open the gift. The lid came off, and there I found 3 ugly, grey rocks inside. That was it. We paused and I was a bit confused, then Brandon stood me up and pulled out the real velvet box out of his pocket. He knelt on one knee...and the rest is history! But there's more...
BEHIND THE SCENES OF THE ENGAGEMENT: Brandon's mom Michelle and sister Erin set up our dinner table but weren't done by the time we arrived. They had to run and hide to avoid me from seeing them and spoiling the surprise. While Erin was behind some trees, Michelle became a modern pioneer and waded across a creek; waist-high in freezing water in order to get away! Also, after Brandon asked the big question, a figure came out from the hill and behind the trees. Devin. Dressed in camoflauge he hid and filmed the whole ordeal from dinner all the way to the proposal. The poor guy was numb from sitting there for almost an hour before he came out!
I love you Brandon!
